Backstory

For three decades, choosing a first partner Pokémon has marked the beginning of every new adventure. From the earliest journeys to newer generations, these Pokémon have become some of the most memorable companions in the history of the franchise.

Created as part of Pokémon’s 30th Anniversary celebrations, the First Partners series revisits that sense of beginning and discovery through special collectible artwork. Vol. 2 continues the anniversary collection with a selection of nine possible designs, making each sealed box a small mystery: the exact card remains unknown until opened.
